Welcome to our Farm!

Our mission is to breed and raise beautiful and healthy English Cream Golden Retriever puppies for families to love and enjoy.

We are passionate about our work and we love what we do. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy that a Golden Retriever brings into your life.

On our Puppies page you can find our litter updates and an overview of our process for screening families and placing puppies.

The Breed

We breed Golden Retrievers with a focus on light-coated European English Creams.  We love the light-colored coats of the English Cream and their sweet natures! We strive to ensure that all our litters are of the highest quality and that they are loving companions that you’ll cherish for years.

Our Process

01. Puppy Application

We ask all interested families to please complete a puppy application so that we can learn about your situation, preferences,  and commitment to owning and caring for a Golden Retriever. Our application is only available once you send us an email request. We will contact you regarding the availability and the status of your application. We welcome visits by appointment to meet our Goldens prior to a decision. Please email us to request an application.

02. Deposit

Once you are ready to commit to a puppy, we require a $500 deposit. This holds your place in line to choose a pup from a litter but does not guarantee a puppy at a specific time. In the event that a dog does not become pregnant or has a small litter, we will move your deposit on to the next available puppy or you may request a refund (minus a $15. processing fee). The deposit is also refundable (minus the fee) if you should change your mind or be unable to commit to a puppy due to a change in a circumstance prior to your 6-week visit. We reserve the right to have first choice on any litter, male or female, if we decide to keep one to raise and breed.

03. Visit

We invite families to visit and choose their puppy from a litter at 6 weeks of age following the order of deposits. By 6 weeks puppies have started to develop a personality and will have had their first puppy shots and health screening. Each puppy will have a different collared collar for identification. Once you choose a puppy we will provide you with their health screening paperwork so that you can schedule a vet visit. We also recommend that you review the information and puppy schedule linked just below here, as you prepare to bring your puppy home.

04. Payment and Pickup

Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. We will have a litter blanket, some puppy food, and AKC registration paperwork for you to take. Families will need to sign our Puppy Contract and the remaining balance is due at this time.  We prefer cash or a check for the final payment. If you are unable to take your puppy home at the scheduled 8 week pick up date, we do charge $25. per day for continued care.

Please email us for puppy pricing, it does vary by litter. Our prices do not include tax, which will be added to the invoice. We are also willing to personally deliver your puppy if you cannot come to our farm. We charge $50.oo per hour and $.75 per mile round trip. Please contact us for further details.

We are always just an email or phone call away and appreciate staying in touch with our Meadow Brook Pups!

Our Golden Mamas

Eye

Testing our Golden's eyes is important to their overall health and well-being.  These eye examinations can help identify any potential problems that may arise, and help to ensure that our canine companions have healthy eyesight for years to come.

Testing

Heart

By testing the heart, veterinarians can detect diseases, abnormal rhythms, and other complications before they become serious. Dogs can be tested at 12 months of age or older and certified by the OFA for use in breeding.

Elbow

Testing our Golden’s elbows is an important step in determining their overall health and wellness. The OFA certifies dogs at 24 months of age or older for use in breeding. Elbows are one of the most commonly used joints in a dog's body, allowing them to move, stand, and run with ease. When a dog's elbows are healthy, it helps to ensure that it can move and perform activities without pain or discomfort.

Hip

Hip Dysplasia is a common problem in large breed dogs. This is an abnormal formation of the hip joint that can cause lameness, pain, and arthritis. Dogs can be certified by the OFA at 24 months of age or older and approved for breeding. This gives the puppies a good start to a long healthy life.

*All dogs may not yet have all 4 tests completed. Please visit personal dog pages for individual testing.*
